Objective Comparison
The goal of the YouthCan project is to “use technology to
inspire, connect and educate people worldwide about environmental issues.” This
project encourages students to exchange ideas about the environment with
students around the world. This project fits very well with the Biology
Curriculum for BCPS. Core Learning Goal 3, Expectation 6 requires students to
investigate a biological issue and develop and action plan. I think that the
YouthCan project would augment the goals set forward by BCPS by exposing students
to the perspectives and ideas of students around the world.
